E-Discovery

E-DiscoveryElectronic discovery (or e-discovery) refers to discovery in civil litigation which dealsĀ  with information in electronic format also referred to as Electronically Stored Information (ESI). Electronic information is different from paper information because of its intangible form, volume, transience and persistence. Prolumina has veteran Electronic Discovery staff with over 20 years of experience. From data collection to trial support, Prolumina provides a one stop shop solution.

Online Review Hosting

Prolumina maintains two online review platforms. Through years of research, these two platforms have risen above the rest in terms of reliability and client satisfaction. Our servers are hosted in-house, available through our fiber pipeline at unprecedented speeds, and backed up in triplicate daily.

Online Document Review

No two document reviews are the same. That basic principal is what drives the consultants at Prolumina to specifically tailor each document review. By working
closely with our clients, we determine the best strategy to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and foresee any potential problems down the road.

Native File Production

Some practitioners pursue discovery in native file format, the original file format in which the electronic file was produced, such as Word, Excel or Outlook. Native productions have become more popular since the new federal e-Discovery Amendments. They provide the requesting party greater leeway.

TIFF/PDF Production

A common practice has been to take electronic files and save them as image-based electronic files known as TIFFs or PDFs. TIFFs and PDFs are electronic files, but they are like a picture of the electronic document. Text can be provided in TXT files or in searchable PDFs.

Hard Copy Production

A hard copy production is the original method of document production. Documents are provided to the court in hard copy, sometimes in multiple sets. This method is becoming more difficult to review as the document volumes increase, and as the ease of the TIFF/PDF and native formats advances.
