Chris Hazelmann - President and CEO

In 1999, Chris Hazelmann became the primary stakeholder in Prolumina. One of Chris’s first initiatives was to expand the scope of services to introduce the trial technology that has made Prolumina the most sought out firm for high-level presentation support. Under Chris’s leadership, Prolumina has extended to support graphic design, illustrative creation, trial consulting and various other strategic services. In addition to providing litigation support, Chris has designed and taught multiple Continuing Legal Education seminars. His expertise in trial technology has garnered him invitations to speak at law schools for the University of Washington and Seattle University. Chris is also a featured writer for the King County Bar Association; highlighting the effective use of technology in the courtroom.

Susan Hazelmann - Vice President and CFO

Susan Hazelmann is Prolumina’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Under her financial directive, Prolumina has flourished as the Northwest’s leading trial technology firm. Much of Prolumina’s success and stability can be tied to Susan’s involvement. As the primary HR liaison and hiring manager, she has worked to recruit and retain the industry’s leading personnel allowing Prolumina to offer our clients unmatched service and experience.

Previous to her work with Prolumina, Susan taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Japan for two years, and then in Bellevue, WA for ten years after returning to the United States with her family.  She has also worked as a paralegal assistant and as an abstract writer for a marketing database.  Susan earned a B.A. from Oberlin College in Ohio in 1984, graduating with a Linguistics major and a Spanish minor. 

Client Relations

Noah Wick - Director of Marketing & Business Development

Noah Wick is responsible for cultivating Prolumina’s client relationships as well as overseeing the website, marketing campaigns, and collateral materials for our firm. After graduating from Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow’s School of Communications, Noah spent time in New York City producing concerts for such bands as Guns N’ Roses and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Returning to Seattle, Noah has been an active member of the region’s non-profits; for nearly 5 years, Noah has either established or managed events related to cancer support and research and even founded a non-profit music booking organization. Currently, Noah a graduate student working to obtain his Masters in Communications and Leadership Studies through Gonzaga University.

Joel Schneider - Client Relations Manager

Joel Schneider is Prolumina’s Client Relations Manager and has been part of the legal industry for nearly 20 years. In California, he founded and managed Rushmore Legal Support and was responsible for the opening and success of Seattle’s Whitmont Legal Technologies. His knowledge is well recognized by other legal professionals who have frequently sought his advice for their own projects. At Prolumina, Joel partners with clients to help create solutions for every aspect of a case. He is renowned for taking an “impossible” idea, request, or situation and finding the best possible solution for everyone involved. Overall, his comprehensive knowledge of the legal field makes him the go-to guy for all litigation support and trial technology.
Strategic Consultants
R. Craig Smith - Strategic Consultant

Craig Smith is one of our Strategic Consultants and has worked with lawyers as a trial consultant in federal, state and municipal courts. With nearly 25 years of experience, Craig primarily focuses on the areas of presentation strategy and the architecture of effective communication. He has designed and taught Continuing Legal Education seminars for local and state bar associations as well as for many law firms. He created the Power Litigation Continuing Legal Education seminar series after many years of observing the performance of lawyers and juries in trial. Craig is also a highly accomplished writer; he is the author of Championship Law - Seven Keys to Winning Performance in the Courtroom (Trafford Publishing, 2006) which continues to assist lawyers in developing their communication and presentation skills. Craig continues to contribute significantly to the legal media in five western states and can speak French, Turkish, and Japanese.
Pia Bloom, J.D. - Strategic Consultant

Pia Bloom is one of our Strategic Consultants. Prior to her work at Prolumina, Pia was active in public affairs, public policy administration, and legislative analysis for New York City’s government. As an attorney herself, she is an invaluable part of our trial consulting team when it comes to articulating legal goals and consulting on all aspects of witness preparation, depositions, and trial strategy. Pia has been a featured guest speaker at the University of Washington’s Evans School of Public Affairs and holds a B.A., M.S., and a JD from the University of Washington. Pia speaks fluent Spanish and French and understands how valuable the ability to be understood is. She is a proficient and confident translator who places a high value on communicating with case witnesses in their first language.
