Johnson v Johnson & Johnson

Background:

Prolumina’s goal was to help McNeil/Johnson and Johnson attorneys show jurors that Children’s Motrin did not cause Stevens Johnson Syndrome/Toxic epidermal necrolysis.  These are forms of a rare but severe skin disease with a mortality rate of up to 40%.  This was achieved in multiple trials, in a variety of states by educating the jury on the science, medical journals and medical records of the individuals involved.

Our Work:
Prolumina has developed a document and video presentation database that was used extensively with witnesses to impeach or bolster their testimony.  Over the course of multiple trials, in multiple venues, Prolumina’s
technology consultants devised methods to store and organize trial data that allowed faster and accurate retrieval of complex information.

Outcome:
Four defense verdicts, in heart-wrenching cases, where jurors came to the same conclusion that the medical literature had: that Children’s Motrin was not the cause of plaintiff’s injuries.
