Presents a Seminar on Trial Technology
And Communication with Jurors

The CCBA is excited to be offering a seminar on October 1, 2010 on Trial Techniques – Technology
and Communication with jurors. This presentation will, for the first time, also be offered via Webcast
allowing delegates to participate from the comfort of their own office or home.
Delegates can choose to attend the morning session, which will focus on technology, the afternoon
session, focusing on jury communication or both. Topics to be presented will include developing
juror profiles and framework for voir dire, effective evaluation of juror data, best practices on
peremptory challenges and assessing juror risks. During the technology portion we will address
issues including the benefits of using technology in trial, remote testimony, use of demonstrative
exhibits and animations and deposition syncing.
The Seminar will feature one of the most popular legal
speakers in this area – David Markowitz. David is the
founding partner of Portland litigation firm Markowitz,
Herbold, Glade and Mehlahf PC.
The seminar will also feature Craig Smith and Danny
Carrao of Prolumina. With over 25 years of experience,
Craig primarily focuses on the areas of presentation
strategy and the architecture of
effective communication.
Danny Carrao is Prolumina’s General Manager;
responsible for all aspects of Prolumina’s operations
nationwide, as well as leading the company’s strategic
planning efforts for new markets, operations and new
technologies.
